About us
Welcome to our conservatory
Since 2006, Sociedad Actoral Hispanoamericana (SAH) has trained over 5,000 students in theatre, film, and acting, shaping talent into professional performers for stage and screen. We offer bilingual programs for all ages: SAH Kids, musical theatre, improvisation, on-camera acting, and our 2-year Adult Conservatory Program, designed to prepare professional actors.
Our film division, SAH Films, has earned international acclaim: Intrusos won at 23 film festivals, and Déjà Vu received Top Honors at the Barcelona Film Festival. The community has also celebrated SAH with official proclamations from Miami‑Dade, Doral, and the U.S. Congress, along with Miami New Times recognitions for Best Arts Institution, Best Theatre Production, and Best Summer Camp for Kids.
At SAH, we embrace an international and open cultural philosophy, sharing our knowledge and experience with actors from diverse backgrounds while allowing ourselves the opportunity to absorb the unique energy and knowledge of each culture and experience we encounter. Over our nearly two decades of existence, we have conducted numerous acting workshops worldwide, from Miami, Orlando, Naples, Chicago, and New York to Bogotá in Colombia, San Juan in Puerto Rico, and Madrid in Spain. Join us on this passionate journey through the performing and cinematic arts.

MIGUEL SAHID - PRESIDENT
Our directors have a clear vision: upon completing our two-year informal conservatory, our actors will be ready to face any challenge, even alongside renowned actors. We founded the Hispanic Acting Society with the idea of providing actors with a wide range of opportunities. That’s why we teach a wide range of techniques that allow them to excel in film, theater, and television.
Alongside Sahid, we have Actor, Psychology Major, and Professor Andrés Felipe, who has 15 years of acting experience and over 10 years of teaching experience. With his great passion and knowledge of acting techniques, including those of GROTOWSKI and BARBA, among others, as well as the development of a dynamic and cutting-edge academic curriculum, he contributes to the workshop by providing physical preparation and techniques that help the actor develop the right combination of mental, emotional, and physical intelligence in pursuit of achieving the desired synergy, an essential element for being a convincing actor.
We welcome you to an exciting journey into the world of dramatic art!

Our History
The Inspirational Nancy Millán
On March 8, 2008, we bid farewell to Nancy Millán Hernández, our beloved founder and talented actress, after her courageous three-year battle against lung cancer. Her legacy is a constant source of inspiration.
Despite the challenges, Nancy never ceased to shine in her passion: acting. Together with her husband and fellow actor, Miguel Sahid, they conceived the vision of providing a healthcare plan for all actors in South Florida. That vision continues to guide us today.
Furthermore, during challenging times, Nancy led an exciting theatrical production, “Cada Quien Su Vida” by Luis Basurto, under the banner of the Hispanic-American Actors Society.
Nancy Millán Hernández was more than a talented actress; she was a beacon of positivity. Her smile lit up lives, and her legacy inspires us.
Today, we honor her memory. Although Nancy is no longer with us, her influence lives on in every step we take. Each year, at our gala, we proudly award the Nancy Millán Award to outstanding women in the entertainment industry, celebrating her enduring impact on our industry and in our hearts. Join us on this inspiring journey!
